Hi keekee,
Can you give me your computer specs? I.e. model, processor speed, memory (RAM)?
Are you using an external hard drive for your music?
Please also check your CPU usage when running ITCH.
To do so, open the task manager (Ctrl, Alt, Del), click on the process tap and check your overall CPU usage and percentage ITCH is using.
Here are some general tips that might be of help:
1. Switch off Bluetooth, wireless network and unplug any wired network connections.
2. Ensure you have ample room left on your hard drive (this is approx 10% of your hard drive - both internal and external).
3. Close down any other software, including anti virus software or the like.
4. Switch off screen saver and set sleep mode and hard drive sleep to 'never'.
5. Always plug the hardware directly into the computer’s USB port, not a hub.
6. Check that you are using a ‘good’ USB port. Try all ports until you get the best results.
7. Go to your laptop manufacturer's website to check if there are any USB driver updates for your machine.

Does your computer use an Intel or AMD processor?
Can you please also check your CPU usage when running ITCH?
To do so, open the task manager (Ctrl, Alt, Del), click on the process tap and check your overall CPU usage and percentage ITCH is using.
You might have to increase your USB buffer size as your hardware is quite close to the minimum specification.
Try increasing the USB buffer size in ITCH's hardware setup until the USB dropouts disappear.
