I drag a song into right deck, it reads it, it tells me its there ready to play, it just wont. My lack of proper prep is stinging me here, I got a gig in 1 hour. Please Help!

of course we need more info....

is the turntable/cdj on?did you press play? did you connect hardware properly?, timecodes in/on? not analyzing your files would not stop it from playing

Hi Unky - what play mode do you have each deck in? A little more info would definitely help us to help you out :)

I have exactly the same problem.

My left deck is ready to go, I can drag the wave to make the noise, but it won't follow the vinyl, and won't play liek the right one.

All I can hear is the hissing noise.

Everything is hooked up exactly the same as the right deck.

If I press input reverse, it then plays out of the left deck fine, and then won't recognise the right deck.

Hey Dlite - it's always best to start a new help request when you have a problem instead of jumping in on someone else's thread so we can help you individually, here's the best place to start: www.serato.com (click)

However, I have a couple of questions. Have you switched the input source on the mixer from phono to line? And what play mode are you using? You need to set it to Rel or Abs to play using the control vinyl.

Hi,

The mixer is switched to line, both the outputs are via the line also.

Any ideas?

does the record spin?(vinyl and the virtual deck) does it play when in INT mode?

Do you:

Have Thru 1 plugged into the Phono in on you left channel?
Line 1 plugged into the Line in on your left channel?
Thru 2 plugged into the Phono in on you right channel?
Line 2 plugged into the Line in on your right channel?

What do you see in the scope views when you play the vinyl?
Dlite 6:55 PM 3 December 2009
I have:

'left deck' line going from the output to the line input on my mixer, and the line is switched on also on my mixer.

Conversely, I also have the same on the right deck.

The scope views show only a small circle but I have enlarged it..

Hope this makes sense.

The vinyl itself is spinning on the actual deck, but there is no movement from the vrtual deck.

Thanks

this seems like a tracking issue, check the needles (tighten the screws, clean connections ,check the leads etc)

what needles are u using?

I had this problem last night using the Rane TTM 57SL. Everything connected properly and was working fine on another DJ's computer. When I plugged the TTM 57SL into my computer the left deck works fine and I can hear the Serato control tone on the right deck when I switched the input to thru, but I wasn't able to control the song from the right deck except in internal mode. I clicked setup and only the left deck had a circle and showing no signal to the right deck. After switching USB cables, checking needles, the turntable ground and damn near giving up, I switched USB port on my computer and that solved the problem. First time I've EVER had this issue after using Serato for almost 4 years. I used the same USB port an hour earlier on a different TTM 57SL and it worked fine, Im not sure if this was just some weird bug but this morning on another TTM 57SL, Serato seems to be working fine on all USB ports.

Hope this will help someone out and never happens to me again!

I'm using: MacBook Pro, Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.2, Serato 1.9.2

The vinyl itself is spinning on the actual deck, but there is no movement from the virtual deck.

So you can't play even in INT mode Dlite?

Hi drekka - that's interesting about your USB port situation. When you played a track on this deck in INT mode, did audio output to your mixer? or was there no audio at all?

The audio played fine in INT mode, all controls worked fine. In REL mode there was no audio or signal for the right deck when I clicked setup.
