I downloaded and ran Mixed in Key; however, the key of only half of my songs show in Serato. I went through Mixed In Key's support people but after some diagnostic work, they said it had something to do with my settings. I'm not sure why 3000 songs would have the key show up and another 3000 wouldn't. Is there something in the settings I need to select? Thanks!

Are all you songs MP3s? Note Mixed in Key cannot write the key to other formats like wav, aiff, aac, etc., only MP3s.
Also, Mixed in Key can write the key to different locations, such as the comments tag, the artist tag, the song tag, or the actual "key" tag. If you want it in the actual "key" tag, then you must check the option "Update Initial Key tag" in MIK's preferences.

All of my songs are mp3s... that was one of the things the Mixed in Key help people told me I had to do. Even after I did that, the songs that are not showing up in Serato are mp3s as well.
I started entering the keys manually... that has been tedious though...

Hello SugarCut,
If you load one of the files with a missing key in the key column onto a virtual deck does the key show up next to the bpm above the virtual deck?
Have you tried rescanning your id3 tags?

no, the key doesn't show up. I've also rescanned my id3 tags several times and it hasn't worked.

Please upload one of these files via the 'attach a file' link in this thread and I'll take a look at it.

I stripped the id3 tag to none and then converted it to v. 2.3.
Download the stripped file, run it through MIK making sure to add the key to key column, and re-import it into SSL.
Does the key now show up in SSL?

Thank you for your help. I did the conversion and then I deleted the songs Mixed In Key already analyzed and ran it again. All the keys are showing.... thanks again for your help!
