Hello,
I use my iTunes library and playlists when I'm in Serato. So instead of organizing and using crates, I do all my organization on my iTunes and use the music and playlists from there when I'm running Serato on my laptop. However, when I do gigs, I want to be able to just plug my external hard drive to anyone's laptop, which is usually a Mac, and be able to access all my music and playlists that I use in iTunes. How do I copy all my music and iTunes playlists to an external, so that when I plug it into another laptop, it will all show up in Serato?

If you want to do what you ask, it will be infinitely easier with SSL's crates than iTunes. You can't just plug into someone else's computer and expect your iTunes playlists to show up, at least not without messing with their iTunes library and settings (which I'm sure they wouldn't want).
With SSL crates though, you can simply plug into any computer and all the crates will show up.

Doing it with crates IS the way to go here.
We don't really recommend you have Scratch Live read the itunes library. In the new versions of Scratch Live if you drag the contents of a playlist from within Scratch Live into a new crate, you can then uncheck the "read itunes library" option and your music will still show since you moved it into a crate.
