Ok guys this was toooo weird! I was spining at a gig this weekend and everything was smooth and dandy. On of my neddles was sounding kind of funny so I pulled out my spare and I decided to chance the tip of the needle. After I did that my records started playing records on that one side. I was like oh shit! I am screwed. LOL At first I didint know what to do due to me panicking. But then I put back the needle it had and everything was fine. Can anyone explain why that happens? Do I need to close out my SSL program before I change needles? I need to know what if one of my needles break... Someon please advise!

It sounds like the one needle had its wires crossed. Make sure that all the wires coming from the cartridge to the headshell are correctly connected and color cordinated.

I use these Ortofon DJS Concorde Kit type of needles. I dont think they have headshell connectors.

If it ever happens again just reverse the Left/Right RCAs for that turntable on the SL1's input real quick and that will fix it usually.
