ok so i recently did a clean install on my pwerbook G4. i wanted to clean everything out so i could just use it for serato. i previously had my entire library in it...and before the clean install i moved the library into an ext drive. after i was done reinstalling OSX i then moved the library back into the laptop..but now it doesnt find any of my files. this is weird because its in the exact location it was before i reinstalled the OS so it should have recognized. does anyone have any info on how i can reconnect all of my media?

also...for some reason all the missing files are locked...so all my libraries come up everything..but none of the songs are found and they all have locks on them?? im thoroughly confused and i have a gig coming up...thanc in advance peeps.peace!

ok...SOLVED IT...haha as i see no one had responded before i did (granted i solved it in an hour)...ill post this up for your own reference:

Ok so as i stated i did a clean installation of my OS on the laptop i had been using. My reasoning been i wanted the most stable system and since i had been previously using this laptop for my website and graphic design, then it was a good idea to just clean the system out and start fresh with just Serato. When i reinstalled the OS i NAMED THE COMPUTER SOMETHING OTHER THAN I HAD PREVIOUSLY NAMED IT. this is key because Serato had previously listed the location to all my files under the old computer name. Since in my installation i named it something else, well...naturlly it couldnt find the location. I came upon this conclusion while in the bathroom agonizing over my dilemma. Afetr i did my deed i proceeded to do ANOTHER clean install and named it what i knew the old name for the comp was. BAM! Problem solved.

So in review...if your going to reinstall your OS on the same laptop youve been using...make sure you name it the same!
