my mac / serato is going crazy

ok so i just purchased my power book pro and i uploaded all my songs on my hard drive to my i tunes. then i downloaded serato 1.6.1 i started using it last night and the serato unexpectedly quit. i dunno it just quits suddenly and says that the serato has to quit. im building my overviews as we speak. could that be the problem??????? i have a gig tonight n i dont want it to crash on me!!!!!!!! if u guys can please help me out i would greatly appreciate it. thanks - victor

yes.. sounds like you have a corrupt file issue.
If you have a gig tonight and don't have time to build the overviews for all of your tracks than just highlight the tracks you want to play and drag and drop them on the overview builder.
I would definitely do that before taking it out to a show.
No overviews built in most cases = frustration.

What does "build all your overviews" mean? sorry I am new to this...

unplug your box and hit the build overviews button on the left hand side of the screen

overviews are not the problem they are the solution, the problem is corrupt files. Building overviews will help you weed out the corrupt files
