I use Turntables with SSL but I have one Denon dns 5000 that i bought over a year ago and still havent really used.

I was thinking about buying a second one so i can use them at gigs but I tried it out with SSL and just messed around with it and the beginning would start at different locations when you scratch with it. I seartched the forum and it seems everyone is calling this "slippage" but i havent found anything that says it will be fixed etc...

Are there plans to fix this with SSL in future releases? or is it something that can not be fixed due to a denon problem?

A fix for this is in the works.
The way to get around this issue for now is that anytime you move to a different part of the song or set the cue, move the jog wheel back and forth a bit.
This will let SSL know where to start playing the track and allow you to drop it to the exact place you want at the exact time.

I know that works for other spots in teh song but I tried messing around with it at the start of a song and it doesnt seem to work at all. in fact, thats when it seems to slip. : ) the more i move the jog wheel, the less liekly it is to return to the very first kick sound etc at teh beginning of a song. im guessing because the tiem code starts there??? but i even set the offset to start a few seconds after and didnt seem to help either..

I will try again thoufgh. and see. Thanks.

Same happens to me sometimes. I would like to also add that scratching within a song at any point also produces some sort of slippage. I never get to scratch accurately with the Denons and SSL. I don't think the pioneers do this though.
