Alright I got my new setup and hooked everything up at a rave I was playing at on the weekend. I couldn't get the setup to read my needles even close to 90% more like 45 to 20%???? At home i can get it to read 95 to a hundred easy. The gear was all mine so nothing changed. I use shure M-44's. I ended up playing with Cd's just so i could use serato. What's the best way to get the needles to read a hundred playing out?????? What is the lowest you can go w/o trouble?? I am using version 1.5. Help Please big party coming up and I would rather use vinyl

did you calibrate your rig? also did you adjust threshold? It sounds like you were gettin alot of external noise

I was trying to calibrate it.... The threshold was at 24db for one table and like 45 on the other??? All the gear was setup outside. The decks were setup on the back of a 5 ton truck. What should memory buffer be set to?

vinyl_dragon,
Properly calibrating your setup will definately make a huge difference.
From what it sounds like, you had some pretty major ground floor noise which throws the SSL control signal all out of whack.
First you have to make sure that everything is grounded. Once you've done that I would calibrate it and, seperately, look at the tracking percentage of both virtual decks.
What do your scopes look like?
If one is tracking close to %100 and the other one isn't than you know where the problem is.
Other things that can cause bad tracking would be if the needles are too heavy or hashed out or if there is dust on the records.
