I want to run serato from an external hard drive so that i don't have to carry my laptop everywhere. do i have to have windows installed on the external hard drive as well in order to run serato?

you have to have a computer to run serato off the hard drive...

Are you trying to carry a harddrive to gigs that already have a computer and you simply want to plug up your harddrive to their system?

Gaffle, yeah. The locations already have a computer there and i just want to plug in my own hard drive and run serato off of my hard drive, but use the computer's processing power, if that's possible.

or is there a way that i can plug into a computer with serato, and import my crates? how would i save crates/mp3s on the external hard drive and have serato read it as such? would it be simpler if i just saved them as folders and dragged and dropped?
