Hey Guys...

I started to record all my records on SSL with the new feature in 1.5. I am using Mixmeister to BPM my songs, which works great. My question is, how can I get the BPM of the songs which I recorded ? I tried to drag the folder "Recording" into Mixmeister, but nothing happens...

Any idea ?

Thanks

what file format are your tunes in...?
Dj KaGeN 9:21 PM 20 June 2006
doh.... - you'll have to convert them from .ogg to .mp3
nik39 10:38 PM 20 June 2006
SSL does not record in .ogg, does it?
Konix 10:49 PM 20 June 2006
No, SSL records as AIFF. I do not believe Mixmeister can tag an AIFF file as they do not have typical ID3 tags. So I guess you'll need to convert your SSL vinyl rips to mp3.

Ah, correct. Mixmeister can only tag mp3s, it scans wav's as well, but does not seem to write the info into the file.

I mucked that one, sorta - but got the concept correct.

I will convert the recorded tunes to mp3 and will try it again...I'll post my resultat =)

Thx so much !!

I use iTunes. Like any program it takes a bit to get to know but once you do its a solid program in my opionion.

Hey Zach...

How can I convert the Tracks into a File which Mixmeister can read? I tried it with iTunes but it never worked ...

Use RazorLAME.

Yes as mp3 is a lossy compression.

Vince,

Hm.. it should work with iTunes?
Are you sure you are converting to mp3, wav, or aif?
Check here for operations on converting in iTunes>>>docs.info.apple.com

If you're recording your own mix, won't the BPM vary?
Zach S 11:32 PM 17 July 2006
Pete Moss,

I think we're talking about recording tracks not mixes?
Pete Moss 11:35 PM 17 July 2006
Aahhhh!, never mind.

Reading and working don't mix.
Vince 1:42 PM 18 July 2006
Hey Zach , that's awesome !! Thank you for the Help =)

Hey Pete Moss, many peeps already asked about recording their own mix, but in the moment this isn't possible I guess ?!!

I'm really digging this Forum, if you have any question, in maximum 2 days it's answered ;)

Vince,

If you buy the TTM57 SL you can record your mix using SSL.
There is a master mix option in the record view for this:)
Vince 9:21 AM 19 July 2006
Awesome ! You guys really or on top of things =)

But I am 16 years old and my budget is quit limeted ;) No doubt, the TTM57 is the sickest Mixer out there...
