HOW DO I USE SAMPLE PLAYER?

Keys ZXCVBN will trigger samples 123456

If you have playback keys use shift selected in the set-up screen, then you will need to hold down the shift key before pressing any of the ZXCVBN keys.

At 1 point I had the caps on and I just pres zxcvbn and it would work but it doesn't anymore how do I fix that??

If you have Playback keys use shift selected, then you can just activate the caps lock and then simply press ZXCVBN (without holding shift).

If "Playback Keys Use Shift" is activated then you must hold SHIFT before you hit the keys OR just have Caps Lock ON and then you dont have to hold shift anymore - just press the key.

If you do not want to hold SHIFT or turn caps lock ON - then just uncheck 'Playback Keys Use Shift" and all you have to do is hit the key to activate it.

If youre still confused I suggest you just try it out.

i have another concern i am on a windows vista 64 bit and i opened my serato and it said it has stopped working i tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it did not work.
i put the hardware CD in the comp to install the 1.8 version or something like that and it worked but the new updated version isnt working on my computer for some reason how can i fix that!

Close down SSL. Install version 1.9.1 - Leave the program closed.

Go to the C:/Music folder.
Give the ScratchLIVE folder a dif. name.
Open ScratchLIVE 1.9.1 and make 1 crate - then import 1 song into this crate.
Close down ScratchLIVE.

Go to the ScratchLIVE folder tha you renamed and go inside the Subcrates foler. Copy all of these crates.

Go into the NEW ScratchLIVE folder that was created and into the Subcrates folder in there. Paste the crates you copied.
Now open the program and it should load.

aight dat didnt work im on a gateway vista 64 bit and idk if yu guys have a serato 64 bit driver update for vista but when i put in my serato 1.8 it works i think the 1.9 has some sort of bug!

What is it saying its getting stuck on at the bottom when it tries to load? There should be a location of a file typed in white at the bottom of the program. Is it a song or crate?

First Fully Close SSL.

Go to the C:/Music folder and give all ScratchLIVE folders in there dif names. Nothing within that Music folder should have the word ScratchLIVE within it.

Then connect your interface and go to:
Start/C:/Program Files/Serato/DriverUpdater32
This should update the driver.

Now does SSL open all the way?

Plug it into a different USB port and double click on Driver Updater 64. If it still doesnt work - then try it on all USB ports on the computer. Are you using a USB hub or a splitter?

Have you tried an earlier version of ScratchLIVE? Try installing 1.8.3 while the interface is connected. Download it from here: scratchlive.net

the 1.8.3 driver update is still looking for the device its taking a while tho

no i wasnt lol but i went in da seach by my start menu typed in serato deleted everything including the backup and i typed in scratchlive and deleted errythang den i reinstalled 1.9.1 !!!

Are you still running 1.9.1?

Try installing 1.9.2 and see how this works for you.

Are you sure you are running 1.9.2? Click set-up at the top and look in the bottom left for the version.

If you drag and drop one file ontop of the Analyze files button - does it analyze?

Maybe the issue is that you have iTunes open while ScratchLIVE is open. If you close iTunes - does it work then?

If this does not work, then go to the Music/ScratchLIVE folder and change the name of the DatabaseV2 file to something else (anything else) then open ScratchLIVE and try it again.

Runtime Errors are caused by Windows most of the time.

Have you updated you Windows or any other program lately? Are you still running 1.9.2? When does this happen - when you open the program or after playing some songs?

it happens when im trying to play certain songz

I would delete those songs. Are they marked as corrupt? What format are they? Does it happen everytime you play them?

they are mp3 and yea everytime

I would delete these songs if its only happening to them.

i have tried unistalling serato off my comp to reinstall it and when i reinstall it i still have default setting as if i never re did it like stuff in sample player is da same like everything

This is how its supposed to be. If you would like for ScratchLIVE to be completely empty (in order to start all over) - then you must delete the ScratchLIVE folder located in the C:/Music Folder

i have another question i have sl1 is there a way i can download or pay for sl3 software and record into serato?....

No. The SL1 is not designed to record your mixes - its just not built to do it.

Also - all the interfaces can run on the same software. The software doesnt determine whether the device can record - its the device itself that limits that option.

i have a windows vista 64 bit computer and my serato wont analyze certain songs and i have concerts and shows comming up and when i spin it says "scratch live not responding" during the session and it force quits itself out and music stops playing whats going on with this and how do i fix it?

You are running into corrupt files. The files that will not Analyze and are freezing the analyze process are causing issues. Delete these and all other corrupt files and you should never experience a freeze or a crash again.

when i press control and delete they wont delete and in settings i dont have my library protected

If you have ScratchLIVE reading the iTunes library - you must delete the files from iTunes.

Other than that - anything else you select and try to delete - should delete if Protect Library is not selected.

is there a way i can make a playlist in serato and let it play through without putting each song on the decks manually?

I was just wondering if u could midi the sample to Group B2 on the TTM 57 SL so that way i wouldn't have to touch my laptop to trigger them.

DjRatchet: Create a crate and load songs into it. Play the first song from the crate and make sure the crate file remains highlighted. Then hit Autoplay in the top left corner and it will play all the songs in the crate one after another.
