Go through Launchpad and click Utilities, then double click Audio Midi Setup. After opening Audio Midi Setup look at the upper left corner of your screen on the title bar and click Window. A drop down menu should open up, click Show Midi Window. Double click IAC BUS and make sure the box for Device Is Online is checked.

Also this is a good time to check if your computer is even recognizing your controller. There should be some sort of midi interface box in your Midi Studio Window. If so then you computer is picking up your controller and the last step is configuring your studio.

Click Configuration right above the network box and I think you can figure it out from there.
