Recently I have noticed a number of "ghost tracks" appearing in my SSL library.

My SSL library should be 100% from my iTunes libary.

I have noticed files appearing in my library without the iTunes symbol next to them (ie not being read from iTunes). They play fine but I'd rather not have them. Where are these ghost dupes coming from and how do I remove them? I have deleted them from my SSL listing (cmd + delete) but they do re-appear and a couple of new ones have appeared today.

Can anyone help? (Guess I'm a neat freak when it comes to ssl)

Not sure where the files are coming from but in order to delete them completely you would want to select these files and hold down Cmd+Shift+Delete and this will send them to the trash.

Thanks for that.

It does seem to be a recurring problem though. Unless cmd shift delete deads the files more than a cmd delete. I'll keep you posted as I've cmd+shift+delete(d) the offending files now.

Cool let us know. Cmd+Shift+Delete will send files to the trash. So if you are using the relocate lost files feature SSL might be finding these files in the trash and no longer in iTunes.
