When I connect my laptop (HP) using the CD's, the left side cd plays at 100% and the right side does not get any signal. I changed laptops with my brothers (Toshiba) and it played both Decks. I tried uninstalling Serato from my laptop and reinstalling it again and it keeps doing the same thing. Do you know what might be the issue?

Hello Paul,

Are you plugging the SL1 into a usb hub or splitter?
Have you tried the other hard wired usb ports on your computer?

Do you have Service Pack 1 installed on your Vista machine?

Let us know and we'll go from there.
Paul Gutierrez 2:09 AM - 18 December, 2008
Yes I tried using other usb port on my computer.

I don't have a Service Pack 1 installed in my Vista machine. What exactly does that do to my computer?

It is a needed Windows update. Its important to keep updated with any Windows updates.

I couldn't tell you what the update does.. just know that its needed:)

Either do your "automatic updates" on your computer or do a search for Windows Service Pack 1 for Vista on Google. It should pop right up;)

thanks a bunch i'll do just that and i'll get back to you with what i get :)

Paul Gutierrez 6:28 AM - 23 December, 2008

Right click on Computer and go to Properties or System Properties.

It will tell you underneath where it says Windows Vista.
Paul Gutierrez 1:50 PM - 24 December, 2008
It says: Processor:AMD Sempron(tm) SI-40 2.00 GHz

Hm.. haven't heard of any issues with that processor?

How many usb ports do you have on that computer?

Do you have an external drive?

If so, try plugging it into a usb port opposite of the port the SL1 is plugged into.

For some reason this has helped users that have AMD Turion processors.

I'll try to get some help on this thread.

It has three USB ports and yes i have an external hard drive. i'll try doing that tonight and get back to you with results tonight after my attempt

Does swapping CD decks result in the problem swapping sides?
