I cant find the midi tab in setup in SSL, I have tried everything, and nothing works, can someone tell how to get the midi tab to display in SSL. I am using OSX

Make sure you are using at least version 1.8.0 or above, MIDI is only in 1.8+. You can't miss the MIDI button or tab menu in the setup menu. If you don't see it then you're using an older version.
