Hi, i installed the driver for the ddj sx and the serato program just like in the manual discription. I use an Acer laptop (windows 7). In my sound settings the ddj sx is NOT set as a default payback device, but my laptop recognize it. When i launch serato, it says that there is no compatible device connected. Could this have to do something with my laptop, but it requires to the installation features...

Could you please give me your computers full specs? Also do you have any other USB devices connected apart from the DDJ-SX?

It sounds to me like you may need to re-install the DDJ-SX drivers.

If you are going to try this I would recommend removing the installed drivers first. If you open control panel (make sure you select "all control panel options"), then open "programs and features", scroll down to "Pioneer DDJ_SX Driver" and uninstall this.

The try following this link here and downloading and installing the latest drivers for the DDJ-SX: pioneerdj.com

Once that is done try plugging in the DDJ-SX and running Serato DJ again. If you are still having no luck you might want to try it with another USB port as well.

Hi,

the problem is fixed, I bought a macbook pro. Most people rencommanded this because the reliability of this computer is very high. My other computer is a intel pentium p6100 2Ghz, 4GB DDR and 320 HDD, so it requires to the features. But i think there is to much other crap on it, to work fine :) So I installed it on the mac, just the same way as i did on my acer laptop. And it worked from the first time. I have no regrets that i bought a macbook, and the ddj sx with serato is awesome :)
