jesseg0304 2:55 PM - 27 January, 2012
Let us know when Scrtach Live works with the DN-MC6000. Also improvment in your customer/Technical support would have been nice to hear.

When will you guys start supporting Hercules products, especially the new Hercules 4MX controller????
jagro 4:21 PM - 27 January, 2012

What's the big defference between itch en dj Intro?
I don't see it!
So stop putin al your work in dj intro and get seriues with Itch.
Gave us what we ask for: 4 decks support for the V7 and the Bridge in Itch.
We don't want that bullshit update for video in Itch.
The most of us Itch users don't use the video plugin and the most of us don't ask for it.
jesseg0304 5:24 PM - 27 January, 2012
Serato you guys need to get serious and start listing to the voice of the customer. When you start to see that no one is buying the box and your profits are going down you will have no one to blame but yourself. Stop being greedy and support the controllers, the competion support everything. Just remeber DJ's made you guys and you dont want us PO.
Stuntin909 5:26 PM - 27 January, 2012
Still no 4mx support. That's all I'm waiting for to make the switch...
djdaveonmaui 10:10 PM - 27 January, 2012
A 2 deck version of itch.....Concentrate on making itch the best it can be. Work on the glitch that causes periodic fades and drops. The addition of video is a good step in the right direction of making itch the best it can be. I know some will not like it but some of us could use a karaoke plug in. I run 2 computers when I do combination dance / karaoke shows.
pablo quinones 10:57 PM - 27 January, 2012
I agree, I'm waiting for the 4 decks and the end of dropouts I use the ns7 and there hasn't been any major improvement since I bought it.
DjTweeds 11:55 PM - 27 January, 2012
How about buying Turntables and using Serato Scratch Live and Mix Like a Real Dj does instead of using a controller which no offense to anyone is not really dj'ing a real dj uses turntables!!!! Just my Opinion thats where all there focus i anyway.
superstardjsyko 12:25 AM - 28 January, 2012
I afraid DJ equipment will make its way like cell phones. Buy something new, it's obsolete in a few months.....

Agree

Turntables had there place and time. Progress with the evolution of DJing or get left behind. Before when I used to use the wheels of steel they were the bomb, like you I was hard core. Never would I give them up, now my back thanks me for it. No more carrying crates of 12 in vinly, a coffin the size of a real coffin. Now a days I can set up under an hour break it down in 1/2 hr and carry every tune there is with out breaking a sweat. IF TT are your thing kool but learn to adapt or become extinct.
L'Astro 1:45 AM - 28 January, 2012
Agreed. Times have evolved, real DJs rock the house with whatever equipmen they have at their disposal ans whatever they are comfortable with.
It would like saying portable music should only be listened on a Walkman or cassette player... We've evolved to CD players, MiniDisc players, to MP3s, iPhones, cell phones etc.

Back on topic. What's the point of having 4 deck controllers on Serato Intro?
Is there something coming down the pipeline in regards to Intro or Itch?
deejaydroc30314 4:27 PM - 28 January, 2012
ill take a backpack over heavy ass turntables and crates of records anyday im setup before my computer warms up (5 min) and the technology is so easier to use with digital over analog. as i see it more and more djs are switchn to cdjS and controllers over turntables it aint bout how you look all fancy with turntables its the performance. what usually works for one doesnt always work for the other so mr superstar dj keep doin what ur doin without discriminatoin if ur gettn paid and us digital djS will do the same .....but the future shock is here i mean techs are almost extinct you cant even buy em for less than 800.....(overkill) jus because wana look cool ......big ups to my digi djS cause all in all this new technology was designed for digital the only reason they vamped for turntables is so you guys wont feel left out

Listen I have cdj's, Tables and even a controller but there is nothing like spinning with vinyl even if its control vinyl. I can use any of the above and have and own so don't call me a dinosour most people these days can't spin without the electronics so guess what if i put u in front of a set of tables and put 2 vinyls on and u can't even blend em your not a dj. Your letting the software do the work for you. Thats not what the art is about. Yes i agree its hard to carry tables and vinyl thats why i use scratch live or cdj's when i do a gig. But if i can at all possible i will use tables and either real vinyl or scratch live and mix like it should be done. Anyway technology is great don't get me worng but don't allow it to do the work for you thats not real djing. I have no problems with someone using a controller or cdj's as long as there doing the work and not the stupid software!!!!!!
Luraka 3:15 PM - 29 January, 2012
I totally agree with you ''DjTweeds''! =)
Dj Chris A 7:00 PM - 29 January, 2012
Completely Agree With Ya Dj Tweeds!!!
If You Cant use Turntables n mix properly and you have to Use technology to make you sound good to help you match yor beats, im afraid ur No Good At All!!! I use Scratch live, ive gone from using vinyls to cdj's and now to a laptop using vynls or Cdj's because you have to adjust to technology as the years go by, unfortunatley you cant be picky about what equipment is supplied in bars and clubs but if you're using software to syncronize your beats then your the ones taking what is the aquired skill out of it because no doubt youre only interested in what money it offers, its people like that, that ruin it for djs around the world who have taken the time and patience to learn how to do it properly!!

Djing is an Art, If you cant Apprieciate it and do it properly leave it alone
dsh 4:36 PM - 30 January, 2012
I respectfully disagree. You don't have to use vinyl to be a great DJ. Next time you go to a club, see what the DJ is using. I can guarantee he is not spinning vinyl. Everyone is using some sort of controller. Personally, I think if you know music, bpm, genre, your audience, etc. That is what being a DJ is about.
MichaelStPatrick 6:11 PM - 30 January, 2012
The only reason I'm going to get a controller is for logistical purposes. I've been using my 1200's with a DJM600 and SL2 for four years but lugging around that Odyssey coffin is getting on my nerves. I want something I can fit in my two-seater and set up myself. That being said, I will always use my traditional set up for mix album recordings, but for live gigs, it's not just the heavy equipment that I need help to carry, but many venues have these tiny booths or I just end up taking too much space and annoying the other DJs. So I'm in the market for one of these Numark controllers. They just seem so solid. As long as I can use it with SL and have the potential to go to the SL4 and eventually incorporate Bridge...but am I hearing that these controllers don't allow for that? Are there others to consider? Any advice would be appreciated. I am "old school" and thus not up to date with all the new tech. ;)
Johii 7:53 PM - 1 February, 2012
@DJTweeds: Do you have your own vegetable garden and do you milk your own cow in the morning? I didn't think so, so don't come saying "Don't allow technology to do the work for you." What bullshit is that! If there is display telling me the bpm of a track why should I not use it? If there is way for me to carry all my tracks around with me without having to pay half of what I earn from a gig in excess baggage why wouldn't I take that option? And if there is technology that can make my good mixes great then why should I not use it?

I understand what your saying, but lets be honest. If you apply your line of thought to DJ'ing we would all be running around with an orchestra instead of an ipod. If you do not want to adapt then you can take your set of Technics (or you can borrow mine), and go die/play in the corner. While the rest of us party on with Tiestö, Skrillex and Sweedish House Mafia.

To some people DJ'ing is profession like a carpenter or blacksmith. And just like them a DJ needs the right tools. ITCH and Scratch live are those tools.

Long live the SYNC and long live the BPM
Dj Chris A 10:12 AM - 2 February, 2012
Yeah u go to most clubs u mostly see cdj 1000's (i know this cos Ive dj'd in alot of bars and clubs) but you will be suprised at how many still have vynls as well as cdj's!! N besides this all I basically said is that if you have to use syncro software to make u sound good or even great then your taking what it is that makes a dj good at wat he or she does out of it! Now days you have to keep up with technology yes but real djs wouldnt dare touch syncro software, purely because we learnt to do it right!!
Johii 1:59 PM - 2 February, 2012
I never said anything about SYNC. It doesn't seem to go down to well with Jungle or dub-step. But the beat detection engine that this "feature" is a product of, is very important to other things like effects and loops. And yes, if I spend every single minute of my life perfecting my mixing skills, I can become as good as if I do not use a beat detection engine. But then I would have to set my effect's value manually, and then we are back to the 2 man DJ'ing gig and half of my pay gone again.
localdj42 11:45 AM - 7 February, 2012
OMFG...someone actually said 'KARAOKE'?! This is the result of Stupid Ass 'controllers' & their 'Sync' buttons....NOW THE'RE KARAOKE HOSTS VOICING OPINIONS ON SERATO!!!!! WTF! I SWEAR YOU SHOULD BE BANNED!

I have a problem connecting my Serato to my Hardware (Vestax Typhoon)
I downloaded the Serato Intro(the Tyhoon Download) for my MacBookPro. I use a Vestax typhoon Controller but it says 'Hardware Dissconected' even it is not...does anybody know why the program doesn't accet my Controller ????
dj Giorgio Athens 4:25 PM - 3 March, 2012
@ Johii Totally agree with you my friend. I am a mobile dj and I don't want to go around with a mini van carrying my Vinyls to play for 200€. Now everything fits in a small bag and this is very comfortable. If someone knows about music he don't have to carry 5000 vinyls to prove it. As about the sync button my vote is negative, and the fact that scratch live doesn't have it, is a reason to use it.
