headphone jack???

headphone jack???

so i plugged in my headphones into my headphone jack the smaller 1/8'' one and i noticed that it sounds like crap. So i wiggled the plug around and i noticed i could make it sound better if i hold it in a certain position. The headphones are fine and it sounds cool using the bigger 1/4'' jack. what should i do? should i get it serviced or should i just hold out till something else breaks. i've only had my 57sl for a week now and it's the first time i tried using the smaller jack. i could still use the bigger jack but it sucks because i paid so much money and the smaller headphone jack already broke?

if its only a week old, the shop you bought it from should offer you a replacement if the fault is evident in less than 30 days.

Id go with the replacement.

or buy a a 1/8 to 1/4 jack, they are about $2.00...but why have something new thats not working?

If the dealer is unwilling to swap the unit out for a new one, we'll be glad to repair it here at the factory.

To send the unit in for repair you will need to be issued an RA# (return authorization number). To request an RA, please e-mail me your serial number, full name, shipping address and telephone number.

Once we receive the unit, our turnaround time is typically 2-3 days.

cool,

yup i called last week and just sent it out mon. it should be arriving to you guys on wed the 8th. i put the ra number i got on the shipping label as requested and i also wrote in on a piece of paper in the package.
