Can you re-record a mix that you have already recorded through the 57 to fix a volume problem. My problem is that I recently recorded a mix where I think I had the gain up too high. Its not really clipping or distorting, but it seem a little off with the richness of the sound. Also, I've noticed that if I burn the recorded file to my Ipod, it comes out a lot louder than if I burn onto a cd.

Does anyone have any advise on how I can fix without having to rerecord from the begining.

I am on a MacBookPro and have Logic Studio Pro as well as SSL.

Re-record the part you need, cut out the bad part from the original mix in Logic, paste in the new corrected part.
