I have a MBP with 2gb of ram.
what would everyone recomend that i have the buffer set at? I thought @ 2 gb... But it wouldnt let me go higher than 1.5

upgrade to 4 gb. Buy it for crucial.com I payed $90 & got in two days. Before I got more ram mine also read 1.5 I believe it's because the OS is using the other .5 ... I'm probably wrong on that part, but more ram is essential.

I have a 2.4 core duo MBP 4Gb Ram, and through personal experience i'd recommend having it as low as possible. 200-500mb is enough.. you don't need to cache lots of video frames. The higher the buffer the more frames it needs to decode the more work the computer needs to do..

that's great info. so as low as you can go without noticing a negitative difference?
