This is a request to have the gains on the 57, so they are not too sensitive, especially when you have a different gain control in SSL. You will than only use your mixer gains for fine tuning and as it currently stands, this is hard to do with the way the current gains are. Bring it back to the original gain structure or at least have an option, because I know there are some EDM guys that mix with there gains.

when they changed it from -15db to 0db there was talk of a software switch for those that didn't like the change.
it would have been ideal for those that wanted full kill on the gain and for those that like to adjust the gains during mixing
i think the change happened in one of the smaller updates, like a 6.1.2 or something, so its obviously really hard to add/change this feature
not having this has also made it hard for anyone going on to the 57 for their first time as the faceplate now gives out the wrong info (+-15db = +-0db)
it seems they don't care about future sales of the unit due to the new projects they're involved in, just look at the 2+ years wait for the multi track recording, which i'm surprised nobody has brought up false advertising/full refunds yet

Only the original mixers are marked ±15dB all the newer ones have no scale and they also have no centre stop.
However I totally agree and much preferred the ±15 range

Wow Niro, if you think the 57 gains are sensitive, then using a Pioneer DJM must drive you absolutely insane.

Yes, it does, especially with serato, when your internal gains are almost already there and you just need to tweak it a little.
