Bug: Number of new Posts Sometimes wrong

Occasionally the number of new posts on the new forum is wrong. For example this thread www.serato.com showed up as 87/87 on serato.com. (this can't be true anyway cause I have posted in that thread previously). I reloaded the tracked discussions page, still same number. Then I went to the old forum and it showed 87/1 which is the correct one. Went back to the new forum and suddenly it showed the correct numbers 87/1.

It just happened with this thread too: www.serato.com This time this is a thread where I have never posted but which I#ve been tracking. Went back to the old forum, showed the correct # of posts, back on the new forum it suddenly showed the correct # of posts as well.

Hm. Yeah, I've seen this one too. Should be easy to track down what's causing this one, thankfully. Unlike that intermittent race condition one (that's hopefully now fixed)...

It is, but it's more obvious what's going wrong in this case :) Or at least, it should be.

Hm, the numbers are way off on both forums in the General and Off Topic section.

It's dope how you see new posts in a thread without having to refresh now. REEALLLLY dope. But if I go back to the "top" of that particular forum, the new posts are marked/counted as "unread."

Off topic... after hitting the POST button and the page finished loading, my post just disappeared. I had to refresh the page to see it.

Oops. That's an easy one to fix. Will do in a sec.
It probably would've appeared in a second or two. They're being loaded slightly differently when you post now, and there's a bug in it where there can be a delay before the message appears, especially when the server is under load. Will fix.
