Hello there, Well i got my 57 about 3 weeks ago. Never owned a rane mixer. Have dj with the 56 and 54 plenty of times. But my mixer prior to this was a pioneer djm 400. So im used to the effects. But when i played this at the venue it sounded sooooo clear. I had it about 25 percent lower then i would have the pioneer and it was still louder. B buttons take a lil time to get used to but hey it was my first night. I heard the cuts and scratches so beautiful on this mixer. I was hesitant about this mixer cause i love effects and have the sl 1 box but to anybody who wants clarity and great crossfader spend the extra on this believe me especially if you got a couple of shows a night. Effects i havent tried, its looks like a process to learn im more of a hands on guy so ima add the pioneer efx 500 but just letting ya know my experience.

Pulse has been raging since I unpacked it last week! The mixer is really intuitive and I found it easy to get used to only using the mixer to control the software. The FX are SWEEEET!

you know you can use your 57 as an SL1 w/ the same amount of connections as an SL1

just plug ur decks in like normal to the 57 then turn the left channel up fader up and the right up fader down.. hook aux out of mixer to one line of "ACTUAL MIXER YOUR USING" then hook a wire from the headphone jack to the other line of the "ACTUAL MIXER" make sure u have the headphone cue set to the opposite channel.
