Discussion Toolbox Bug

SpinThis! 5:02 AM - 15 June, 2008
See: www.spinthis.com

It looks like if your window is bigger than 1060 pixels or you have a short discussion thread the toolbox doesn't have enough content to get "pushed" where it needs to go.

Not a serious bug but thought I'd mention it. In the meantime, you might want to set the z-index of the toolbox so it at floats at least on top of the footer. (I've seen it get hidden underneath.)

Heh. How big is your screen? I'm on a 24" here and I can't make my window long enough to do that!

BTW: how do you like JQuery? Some slick effects around these parts lately. ;)

Hm. Okay. I wasn't expecting screens that large to be common. Although I wouldn't describe you guys as average users ;) I'll put it on the list to fix.

I'm a big fan of jQuery. It's one of the lightest (size wise) of the core js libraries out there but packs in more functionality than the rest in that size range. And it's really nicely architected, making it really flexible and powerful. Previously I used Prototype, but it's just not of the same calibre, in my opinion. It's fatter, requires extra libraries for basic effects, and has a messier API.
