Frustrated as fuck!!!!

been trying to rip some vinyl to my pc via sound forge.... but this mixer seems to be producing very thin and wispy sounding recordings in sound forge.

The 57 is connected to my computer soundcard vi 1/4 booth out... but most of my recordings sound really thin and lacking in resonance.... I've tried various phono sensitivity setting but no luck....

any ideas on how to get my recordings sounding more robust and true?

Where are your VU meters hitting? You need to crank them to get a decent level into the recording app.
Also I would advise using the 57 as your soundcard for recording that way you have one less D/A-A/D conversion in your chain.
