SUPACOOPMUSIC 10:57 PM - 14 May, 2008
how do i do dj drops during my mixes without having to load it on the searto. I do radio.
DJ Sidies 11:36 PM - 14 May, 2008
use a mpc or cdj!
Rebelguy 11:36 PM - 14 May, 2008
There is no sampler in the 57 so you would pretty much have to run an external program or hook up a sampler to the mixer.

Yup. You gotta hook up another device to the auxiliary input... but if you're doing radio, you have many choices for on air drops. Right?
SUPACOOPMUSIC 1:10 AM - 15 May, 2008
The radio station already has a diffrent set up rollin', but when i do podcast, and my mixshow i need my own way to do so...But i was kinda wondering would a koass pad work?
Rebelguy 3:25 AM - 15 May, 2008
You might look into a Roland SP-404. Pretty inexpensive sampler with some basic effects.
DJ G.MAC! 2:12 PM - 15 May, 2008
im on radio too and i hook my SP-404 into the "Aux In" of my TTM 57SL, and that's it! you're good to go! I think the Koass Pad would work too though.

I run Reason and bang off drops from my Akai MPD-16... just route the headphone out on your laptop to the AUX IN on the 57 (controll the volume and go at it. I also mapped some midi functions to the pad for SSL control.

That's actually a really good idea. Check out Native Instruments Battery too.
DJ Sephiroth 8:07 PM - 31 May, 2008
What I used to do for firing samples off when I was in a band was run my AKAI MPC into the AUX input.
