Low signal on left deck

Kidkotch 5:48 PM - 30 April, 2008
Hello. I have not changed anything in my setup, 57Sl, Technics 1200's, Macbook Pro(Santa Rosa) with 10.5.2, but all of a sudden I have a low signal coming from the left deck. You see it when you go into the calibration mode, the circle on the left deck is much smaller than the one on the right at the same magnification. Anyone know where to start with this?

maybe the needle or rca problems.put two of the same tracks on each table and then switch needles and see what it does :)

I got the same thing. It never effected performance so I just let it be.

from what i understand the whole the bigger the circles the louder the music does not take place.i always thought the bigger the circles the louder the volume.but i never really heard any difference ever:) i asked a moderator a while back and he said the same.

SHADOW: It's not the volume but it seems to me that since it has been doing it, Serato, or the turntables don't stay tracking in time as well. For instance say that I have two tracks beat matched very well, they still tend to drift easier.

really, can you let me know what the diagnosis is? I can't be without my mixer too long. Also, can you let me know how long it took?

same here-only noticed it the other night,as ive only had the mixer a few days and did my 1sst gig with tts, the left calibration circle was tiny-sotnd still came out but the leeft channel seeemd much lower then the right (however i had no monitors so not too sure if that was really the case on the floor)

so with the needle tracking and in calibation mode-the circls about 1/5 the size as it was with my ssl1 and old mixer???
