Just got my EFX-1000

So... I finally bit the bullet and got my efx-1000..!!! This effect unit is the shizzle! Curious if those of you that currently have one have found any tricks for use with the 57. Not sure but is it possible to map any of the buttons on the 57 to control the efx-1000?

I love my EFX1000. It is expensive but well worth it, and it fits nicely above the mixer, if the mixer is suspended between two TT cases.

The EFX-1000 can respond to incoming MIDI messages (and send MIDI itself), but I think the answer to your question is "no", since AFAIK the TTM-57SL buttons do not send MIDI...

Thanks... I thpought there might be a way to reverse midi map the 57 so I could control the efx-1000 from the buttons... Hacking my way through life.. Why can't they make it like "I" want? LOL.....

What I would like to know is it possible to apply the effect to the mic used with the 57. I was able to get the effects to work with the 56 and it was dope, but so far the 57 will only let me use the effects with channels 1&2. Am I missing something???

Only the signals coming from the PGM 1 and PGM 2 fader route through the FlexFX, but I was thinking... (proceed with caution) Main, Aux and Booth all send the "main Mix" including the mic signal. What if you took the AUX OUT or Booth Out to the input of the EFX and then the output of the EFX into the Return. You would lose the ability to pick what channel the efx processes but you would get the MIC effect (I think)... I don't know of anyway to just "Add" the mic signal to the FX LOOP.

AUX OUT will send the selected channel signal through the FX and the mic signal. This is a trick to use ECHO (or other FX) with SL w/o having to switch back to the effects group each time.
Set some position on Right and Left joysticks on to FX1 BPM (i think), go to group 6 and select AUX and ON. Go back to group one (or whatever group you are used to using), use the joystick to assign the BPM to the FX and depress (on) the FX button. Now you have echo (or whatever effect) without having to switch groups. However, as I said, caution, it also AUX also applies FX to the mic...so if you foget its on, you will have fx on the mic too. (There is a thread about this somewhere.)
Hope that helps, or answers the question.
