Relative Mode Suggestion

M R 2:35 AM 31 March 2008
I've brought this up before, maybe I wasn't clear enough on how I'm describing it...

The idea of needle dropping in relative mode on the absolute position is cool for some, but I need a way to needle drop to the beginning of the track in relative mode with my vinyl "sticker" lining up with the SSL interface "sticker".

Right now I drop my needle down at 12 o'clock, then assign the track, but with vibrations and what not it's tough to get it right on the first time so I end up having to assign the track 2 or more times to get it right.

Maybe there's a way to do this that I'm just not seeing? I'm using 1.8. I know this can be done, I would imagine that technically it's a similar feature to needle dropping to absolute position in relative mode but it's a whole different outcome.

Thanks!

Uhm... needle drop then hit the cue. That seems to work pretty well for me if I need to do that...

These are two steps. The initial feature suggestion sounds good IMHO.

How would you accomplish this? Different tracks have different start time positions?

Maybe I'm not understanding what is requested...

Use cue points as your orientation.

Needle drop and then it always syncs the sticker on your vinyl with the cue point bar on the screen.
