Getting Multitrack software to receive audio through USB from 57?

I'm running Adobe Audition on my laptop and I'm having trouble getting it to read audio from my mixer. In setup I chose it to use the Rane as my soundcard but that didn't work, still no sound is running into the laptop. Any ideas?

Are you using the ASIO driver or the WDM driver?
If you're using the ASIO driver you may need to configure the input in the ASIO control panel, if you're using the WDM driver you might need to do the same in the record tool.

So the ASIO driver only shows up when the Rane is plugged in right? I actually got it to work, had to re-install the drivers for some reason and it just started working after that.

One other thing, I've read that with Scratch Live running it's not possible to record into a multitrack software program on the same computer. I had live running (but using normal vinyl) and it recorded in but the levels were very low. Would it be better to just get a USB sound card with several inputs since the 57 has several outputs and use the AUX out of the mixer to go IN to the sound card?

What firmware version do you have on your mixer?
The levels shouldn't be too low but bear in mind that a single track playing at a decent level on the mixer will come out at -6dB when recorded to give sufficient headroom for mixing another track.
It doesn't really make sense to use a soundcard that wouldn't introduce a further D/A-A/D conversion.

I have whatever the latest and greatest is, I think what I'll do is get one of those $100 USB sound cards with a couple RCA inputs on it.

If you just want to record you set the easiest way is through SSL.
