Anyone's LED Beat Status lights on their mixer seem f*cked up?

I have my home setup using the AUX Out outputs in the back of my mixer to connect to my home stereo. When I have any record playing, serato or not... the beat lights on my mixer do not all light up. I'll get 1 peak light at the top (ex., +8) and a few lights at the bottom (ex., -24, -16, -8) only. Like the -4, -2, and 0 won't light up for whatever reason? I know they work because if I turn the volume up they will eventually turn on... but it's like no matter what the volume is there is always a few lights in the middle that don't come on.

What's up with this thing or is it supposed to do that running off the AUX Out's?

Thanks man, so this is normal? I wish I could just get it to work the 'regular' way.

once you get used to its pretty help full having both the peak & RMS values shown at the same time...
