Video Effects linked to EQ controls.
as demonstrated in this video
at about 2:30
Sam rotates the video with the bass knob. I would love to control video effects this way, in addition to P1 & P2
I have been looking forward to this since forever.
Thanks

Yeah. messing with P1 & P2 is cool but its something else to do. On top of that, its just a random video effect that has nothing to do with the audio. I think it would be sweet to twist the bass out and have an effect roll on the screen. I think the crowd would go nuts.
I would even like to layer an audio effect and a video effect on P1 & P2, so you can run a filter, phaser, or flanger and have the screen warp too.
My own thread jack here, but its kind of cool to run through these old VSL videos and see how much the interface has changed in the last year. Big Up Serato!!

bumping this
with an update
video effects linked to EQs. Option to use kill switches to select Audio only(unlit)/Video only(lit)/Combo(flashing). 3 effects slots would be cool too...
Kill switches are so 2002 anyway...
using P1 & P2 to control video effects is so January...

agreed on the kills, I never use them, just use the knobs if I have to, they're too hidden down in between the knobs anyway.
I never use the Mic. either, that would be an obvious place to put video features.

is just me or the p1 & p2 knobs make like small clicks when rotating... making the effects not smooth when adjusting.. like zooming, etc... it makes abrubt movements instead of smooth movement when adjusting.
Wish I could replace the knob.
even better of course would be to add an assigned effect to the eq knobs..
I love the idea of using the kill switches... I NEVER use kill switches... it takes a quarter of a second to turn a knob to kill the bass if need be... and it is smoother that an abrupt kill.

Serato as already stated that this feature is in the works, If i find a link i will post it, but i remember reading that they had it in the alphas but removed it and are working on a better version of it.

P1 and P2 are rotary encoders that's how they work.

i would love if you can have video fx fade out colors with each eq knob.
ch 1 3 band eq would be for deck a and ch 2 3 band eq would be for deck b .
like the Pioneer SVM-1000

Hi,
We are planning to allow effects on the EQs in some way in the future (although probably not like the early alphas had). The problem is 'setting up' which effects are on what knobs takes more screen real estate than we have. But we do have something similar to CROSSFADE's suggestion in the pipeline...
I can say there is no chance of using the kill switches however. These are in hardware on the TTM 57SL and so out of our control :-)

I disagree about the hardware... as this is a digital mixer its all about the firmware supporting it.
However - the buttons are still out of control for you Serato guys I guess :(

What about a couple effects synced to scratching? The picture shouldn't stay totally clean during a scratch.

Especially seeing as the latch on the kills is controlled by SSL.

are we calling shenanigans here...?
seems like those kill switches should be useable

kill switches for efx would be great. even if it were to just toggle the on/bypass. i never use the kill switches anyway.

No shenanigans. We can set whether they are momentary or toggle but otherwise have no control over the kill swtich behaviour... sorry ;-)
