Questions about Video-sl

As on now I don't own the ttm 57 mixer. Once I get my income taxes I'm planing to buy one along with the video plug-in. So to prepare for this purchase I'm out getting my hands on videos right now. I'm not up on this computer age, all I know is SSL-1 and downloading music. Sow with that said here are my questions:

What type of video formats does Video-sl support? (mp4, avi)
Is one format better than the others, as far as using it with Video-sl?
What about quality, when I DJ using MP3's try to have all my music encoded @ 320, do I have to worry about this with video?

still debatable which formats are better. mp4 seems to be the best middleground between quality and size, but at the cost of cpu. avi tends to be larger as the bitrate goes up and it doesn't have the options that mp4 has. some have tried move. and these are just the containers. you'll still need to choose the codec

from what i read, the current recommendation is h.264 @ 2500 kbps in a mp4 container. aac audio @ 160 (the max), resolution @ 640x480, frame rate @ 29.97, some form of deinterlacing and keyrames every 25 frames.

yo you have alot of reading to do...
