planning to buy SSL and the plug but am wondering should i get the Rane TTM 57SL or just buy SSL and use with my current mixer.

i have a Vestax mixer already and would prefer to buy just SSL - way cheaper but i hear the mixer has some wicked video functions. can you use the video without the 57?

please advise. is it really worth it to spend the extra cake and get the mixer or is it not a huge deal?

if anyone has details on the features of the mixer (audio and video) - pros and cons etc. please help a brother out.
