Output Help!

I still have an issue when I hook up either of my computers to external TV monitors (26" LCD's on Fridays, Projector on Saturdays). The edges are cropped slightly and it drives me crazy.
Using MB and MBP, what how should I set the monitor output to optimize the picture (no cropping, especially on the sides!)? The picture looks FINE when I send it to an external 17" LCD computer monitor (ACER 17" monitor), but again, I still get cropping to external TV monitors. Files are 720x480. I have tired the all the different settings in VSL and still get cropping. Can anyone advise?

i had mine set to 800x600 and sometimes had screen tearing depending on the projector/tv. i increased it to 1200ish x 700ish and it worked much better. your extended res should match the tv res.

The difference between a computer monitor + a TV is a little thing called overscan:
