The new mbc that just came out has a cpu that runs cooler (per a tech at the apple store) After 4 attempts to repair my 6 month old mbc 2.2 they decided to replace it with a new one which is a 2.4mhz 200g drive and 256vid card. I guess I came up!

I agree....the new models run a LOT cooler, especially under heavy CPU load.

I held off on updating my old 12" Powerbook for quite a long time partly because I thought the first several revisions of MacBooks ran way too hot. There were some other hardware-related problems that seem to be fixed with the most recent versions.

Very cool that Apple fixed you up with a new model...I'm sure it will work much better for you.
