Hey , yes i own a PC and my video sl works great...I have a 1 year old sony vaio 2ghz core2 with 2 gig ram and a nvideo geforce 7600 go video card with 128Mb dedicated...I have access to what i think are all effects and all work with no problems or drop outs..My small screens are a bit jittery but i assume that is normal..My output is spot on..I process my videos through sony vegas with the mp4 setting and they trun out to be around 70 mb for a 4 min clip...I LOVE my new video sl....

thats bad news. even though you're able to mix and play around with vsl, this 100% is gonna haunt you.
FURY 9:24 AM - 2 March, 2008
Why..Is there something i should know now before i take it to gigs..I have tried it at home for about 1 hour and a bit mix and no hassles there...
StevenWayne 9:45 AM - 2 March, 2008
when your computer runs at 100%, it's hit the ceiling. it has no more room for anything. i'd be real careful taking it on a gig. mixing 1 hr in your comfortable room temperature bedroom is nothing compared to mixing several hours in a real gig enviroment.
just make sure you do some thorough testings before you play live on it in front of a crowd.

ive got mine down to between 60-80% on a PC. 100% is very scary - I just wouldn't take it to gigs at all!

hope they fix the cpu load when video mixing.

using vdj my cpu load never goes over 20% even when having both tracks playing with timecode vinyl.

Yeah mine cruises on 30 jumps up to 70 on loading then back down to 30 40% and its 1.8hz single core 128 shared ram.

How did you get it down? I can't get mine under 96%, and when I load a new track, the output freezes for about 2 seconds with CPU at 100%

There is a fix coming for the high CPU usage on PCs. I believe it will be in the next beta, although don't know for sure.
D-Twizzle 3:10 AM - 4 March, 2008
take your time on the cpu issue. i'd rather have the library and tag issues (cue points/autogain) fixed first, haha.

i converted my files to a .mov container, this was all it took for me to solve my problems and reduce the CPU load. I'm not sure why it fluctuates so much between 60-80%, but all i know is that i dont get the freeze that you are getting anymore.
DJ James 4:36 PM - 4 March, 2008
You can get cpu load down just up your buffer size i just tested it for 2 hours 91% Cpu 34% mermory Load Yes there may be a bug But i dont think it a big Deal

Auto Gain is PLEASE PLEASE Auto gain FIX

I have to build overveiws before i start gig or carry Axiom 25 MIdi Controller with me to controler gains easyer
DJ James 6:11 PM - 4 March, 2008
Yes thats why i build over when i get to gig take about little over a hour but then i can have a drink or 2 before i Start

You know I thought that putting the videos on the internal drive was a temporary fix for the gain issue but it's not. I'm still losing all my gains.

Yeah. The gains are not being saved no matter what.

+1 redo

DJ James 6:11 PM - 5 March, 2008
