What Do I Need To Get Started Mixing Videos?

Assume that I have no budget. What do I need to get started mixing videos using Serato? Obviously, TTM57SL. Which computer, which series of video subscriptions, and most importantly, what do I need to rip the DVD's into the hard drive? Use the internal HD or put all of my vids on an external? I know this is alot of questions, but I love Serato now and am ready to make the leap from music to videos. Thanks.

There are lots of these answers on the forums. Do some legwork yourself and then come back and ask specific questions.

DJ money,

I agree with you. I think that when you start looking at the majority of the video threads you will find that everyone wants to get into it, and the majority have no clue what it takes in terms of equipment, time, money and final look. They just say "I want to be a video DJ"

Video is not going to be like downloading mp3's off of limewire and then doing mash-up's with them all night long.

I actually use Pioneer DVJ's along with serato and end up getting the best of both worlds.

i don't specifically mean what i said in regards to video. i meant it in general in regards to all of these cats and their lack of ability to comprehend what the search box is for.

all that bs is what you need to read cuz if you have a pc even with 2.4ghz or more 90% of us cant do video,but if you have a mac with the bare min,spec your good to go.we have been addressing this issue since the plugin cameout.
