i keep reading this, what do overviews do? what are they?

Three simple ways of getting the answer:

1) Disconnect the SL-1 from your computer. Click on the question mark and move your mouse over to the build overviews button.
2) Check the manual.
3) Search the board as this topic as been discussed many times.

Writing a whole deal about overviews would probably take longer (or at least that's what I assumed earlier)...

clicked the button, but dont k now what the hell it did. but my ssl worked fine before clikcing it. so whatever.

Overviews are the wave forms of the track so you can see the drops etc, beside the level meters.
