MPC or Trigger finger with ableton?? +57

I wanted to get into dropping samples and adding some stuff to my show because i hope to join my friends band pretty soon. My question is with the 57 when you plug it in you can no longer use your on board sound so how are you guys dropping your samples etc?? I already own a trigger finger and i can use ableton with it, havent tried to in a long time, but i have it installed. I know you are not supposed to run other programs while running serato for optimal performance. So how are you guys doing it?

Ableton with trigger finger while running the 57
Akai MPC which one into aux in
Roland SP404 or SP505 into aux in

I run them both at the same time on my old g4 powerbook 1 ghz with no worries!
I use a motu ultralite and trigger finger for live and the 57 for serato.

Wow sick man. I looked up the motu and its a bit pricey for my budget. Is an audio interface necessary to run trigger finger and ableton/57/serato flawlessly??

If you have the MP already you may want to stick with that if all your doing is dropping samples. Plus my MPC never froze. and yes just run it into your aux.

yeah like treeo said if you just running it in the background then set your internal lappy soundcard to lives output and run a mini jack to rca into your aux in on the 57.

K sweet im going to try that, still trying to figure out how to only play one clip when i push a midi button instead of all the clips lined up. IM an abelton nub

Yo guys i just seen the thread. An I have to say thank you Dizz. But I have a problem with banks on the trigger finger.I can take anything now. Ableton is cool its that dag on serato.So what ya'll have in mind.
