Thanks. I would wait till the next macbooks come out. Macs are the way to go just for the fact that they're so easy to use.
Nappa 2:17 PM - 12 February, 2008
Looks good fam. What video settings did you use for the MP4 files?
Dj Mayhem 7:35 PM - 12 February, 2008
Looked like everything was loading quick and all. dope
marknonsense1 3:22 AM - 13 February, 2008
Nappa there encoded with H.264 & AAC but I don't know how to find out what key fames or all that sorry.

Thanks DJ Mayhem, I'll be working on some mash ups and sh** really soon. I just need to get an idea of what I'm going to be setting my standard at.

F Mash Ups! Do it live sucka!

I might be on serato and all this new technology but i still got my roots holding me down! ALOT of djs around here are playing preproduced mashups...i still wont.

at most i'll cut the mp3 to have a verse of acapella and a verse of normal single. but...

sorry for the hijack. lol.

I feel the same way and to be real, I don't even like the way the promo only dvd's look! It's nothing like they do on mtv but that's me. I'm just going to run with it not much we can do. . . lol

I would but video eats a lot of your cpu. Doing it live would be to hard on your laptop or you can like a 4k+ laptop and even then you still may not be able to run video like audio.
Dj Mayhem 2:45 AM - 14 February, 2008
meh. one video one audio then.
sixxx 7:47 AM - 22 February, 2008
I'm with Dj Mayhem. I will be playing a few video edits but if I have the original, I will most likely stick to it just like I do audio. It's us old cats (and some new) who are still not into the mashup/re-edit/remixed/refucked video or mp3. If the edit is nice (mp3 or mp4) I will play it.

No garbage played here. :)

Now, I have the same macbook that marknonsense1 is using and I'm loving it.

I'm encoding using Visual Hub (super easy) and I haven't had any problems. The quality is actually great. You have to remember that the output is affected by whatever type of connection your using to your extra monitor/projector. Plus, also, the higher you go on your video setting when converting, the better the picture will be. Of course, more processor will be used.

You have to reach a compromise as to what you want and what your computer can handle.
