Hot Cues (kinda long)....

Hey I was wondering if Scratch Live had something like the Hot Cue on the Pioneer CDJ1000mk2. I really like this feature on the cdj because you can do this:
On deck 1
Have a song playing say on Track 1
Have a hot cue to start track 2 which is track 1's instrumental.

On deck 2
Have the instrumental to a totally different song being mixed in.
Have the non instrumental of this song ready to go on the hot cue.

At first you have track one on deck 1 being mixed with the instrumental that's playing on deck 2. Then when you're ready you hit the hot cue on both decks and now the instrumental (track 2, deck 1) is being mixed with the non instrumental version of the song that was playing on deck 2. I dont know if I am explaining this right but alot of hiphop djs in my town are using this technique to do really nice mixes. Can serato or any other kinda of vinyl emu software (fs2, mixvibes, etc.) do something like this?

sounds like you need a Denon in your life! =P

you right. Dont like the denons too much if I get a cd player it'll be the cdjs. But I was hoping that there was a vinyl emu that did this because if I got some cdjs i would have to part ways with my 1200s that i've had since i started djing 6 years ago :(. I thought SSL was supposed to be updated with a sampler or something. Could I do something like that with the sampler?

in a way, ssl is just a big sampler. future versions are expected to be able to record from actual vinyl and have loops, but no word on when or how these will be implemented.
