Using Screen Flow on another computer

Using Screen Flow…

So I bought screen flow and have done a few tests video recordings on my Macbook Pro and it seems to be working great, though I have only been making 10 minute video mixes. My question is it possible to have Screen Flow running on another Macbook Pro or IMac and I can record my mix into another computer? The only reason I ask is I figured it would be less CPU power on my MacBook Pro and hopefully have no complications when recording a audio & video mix.

If this can be done how do I send my video feed to the other computer, the audio is easy though I was wondering how to send the secondary video screen to another Mac. Though I am sure my MacBook Pro could handle just if I was capable why not?

Specs on my MacBook Pro
Version 10.6.8 (I am still nervous to upgrade to Lion)
2.2 GHz i7
8GB Ram

Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll need some type of video capture card I'd imgaine, there are many out there to choose from at various prices. I don't do video, so you might want to ask this question in the Video subforum for better answers.

yes you will need a capture card to record via screenflow on another computer. the frame rate and resolution you want will determine your what you will be able to capture at. for instance to record uncompressed or 1080p may require you to capture on a computer that has an SSD or Raid 0 array.

I have a capture card, the blackmagic intensity shuttle. i could use it to record video sets uncompressed but i don't. i use MixEmergency.

there is no need honestly...screenflow does not use very much resources until rendering. I used to record multiple 4 - 5 hour sets using screenflow on a 2008 mbp(which by the way still works rock solid) 2.5 duo with 4Gb Ram

so screenflow should work effortlessly on your system
