Hello fellows
Just got me a "Western Digital MyBook Studio, 1000GB" a external FW 800 disk. www.wdc.com
I have now my videos on that drive, and after playing a while, it works perfect, can't see any differens than running on my internal drive. MacBook Pro, 2.4GHz, 4GB ram, Leopard.
So I can recomend that drive, plus it have the same color as my MPB :-)

I have my drives formatted as FAT32 so I can use them on both my Windows and Mac laptops. Wondered if there was a size limitation with FAT32. Can a drive as big as that be formatted as FAT32?

Yes it's 7200RPM (one 3.5 inch disk), S-ATA/300, 16MB, 8ms.
