Ive heard its not your best choice

There are 4 practical, available, affordable choices for proper editing. Avid, Premiere, Vegas and FCP.

FCP X is great for what DJ's do, all of the problems with the upgrade only really impact production houses and people shooting their own stuff.

I'm sticking with FCP 7 'cos it cost me a lot of money and I'm used to it, but if you're starting fresh, FCP X is a great choice.

I agree with phatbob, most gripes over the newest (and completely redone) FCP is multicam intergration. For making video edits any of these will work just fine.

Thanks guys i just read loads bad stuff about final cut pro x, but yes i am just using it for djing, i hear premiere is the tits but its like £1000+ ouch lol, just want to edit videos over remixes and also add stuff to vids like some text todo lyrics or for hype like put your hands up ya know cheesey stuff like that lol. also want to add some funny youtube stuff of like songs with dances ect gets ppl at the bar laffing and enjoying it bit more.

and fcp is only £199

pricewise fcp x can't be beat. for making video edits for dj'ing with you'll be golden. but for anything else...cancel christmas.

i learned fcp x just to keep my skillset fresh, but premiere pro and avid are definitely the best NLE's. my weapon of choice is premiere pro.
