DjSylert, nice video, I've been working with vegas8 too. what do you do to get that audio track in sync with the lips. i have an idea but sometime its on cue in the beginning then a little off later. I mix the vocals and beat on on track then dump it onto the video with no audio, what technique do u use?

lol yeah that video you posted is a little weak (frost)...vegas 8 works good theres so many options, i have no clue how to use the advanced features yet and i cant wait to explore and see what im able to do...as for my video i made it in about 6 minutes and i just want to show people you dont need to be some computer genius or engineer to do a simple mashup video...a lot of people on here are extremely technical and by all means thats great but some people dont even know how to find out what video card they have let alone what vegas is. I have so many djs spinning as "openers" at my venues and they dont even know how to use serato but they have it all set up like they are pro's. i can even imagine giving these kids two real cd's and mixing them let alone vinyl like most of us started with, they have a hard enough time matching up red lines ;-)

djsylert what technique are u using on Vegas to dump audio over audio....my vocal seem on sync in the beginning then seem to veer off a little.????

well for me the easiest thing to do is take the original video from the video, then open it in acid pro, make my new track right underneath it and sync it with that because theres more audio options in acid. then i put the audio back into vegas and line it up...but even if you have it perfect, then you render it, then you upload it to the internet it will lose sync anyway sometimes, but if your off slightly it doesnt matter too much because unless the people you are VJING for just watch the whole video through (which might be pretty sad because they should be getting drunk or finding a girl/guy to dance with..lol) then its not a huge deal...but some people are perfectionists and this would really bother them so you just have to spend more time with it....ive made regular mashups that were perfect amd some were slightly off, and yes to the trained ear people would know..i hate when i go to a club and hear a dj spin some garbage mashup, or attempt to make one live and be completely off. I honestly like live remixing better because you can change it up every week...it might be a little off for a second here and there but if people here you scratchin in an acapella over a sick beat, then they know its something different if they actually appreciate music in anyway, or if you use the midi and loop or echo accapellas in and out or even sample beats...thats why i love using ableton sometimes in correlation with serato because i can sample a looped beat, lets say eurythmics - sweet dreams and then drop, sean paul - temperature over a BMORE style beat and add the keys from final chapter or something...

yeah that makes sense to lay your audio underneath the original audio on the video, kid i was winging it. i just deleted the audio then dump my mix..hahaha. though some were good others were crazy! but that was is much easier and u can tell when the video audio and your version are different. thanks 4 the tip Sylert, were u from anyway...oh profile check.

I live in NY, Long island to be exact! yeah if you put it right up to the vid it might take a while to match it up, i always edit audio with audio, which in itself can be a pain sometimes but as long as you match the beginning and you change the tempo the length will eventually be so close it doesnt matter
