Possible to use Itch and Traktor at the same time?

Is it possible to run both programs at the same time? I want to use my DDJ-S1 on line 3 of my Kontrol S4, but this would require both programs open. Anyone have any experience with this?

Also, is it possible to use a timecode vinyl on one channel of the S4 while using the other decks controlled by the S4? I know this is Serato forums, but I figure someone would know.

I've been trying to find links on this too. I want to use a Kontrol X1 and F1 on Traktor and keep the ability to scratch with my V7. I have yet to try it with the Kontrols in but everything had audio'd out fine so I'm going to guess it's safe to do?.... lol
