Hi,
is it possible to include the DR, RMS and Peak into ID3 tags during analyzing the tracks and show the columns in the library, smart crate filter, etc.?
See
www.dynamicrange.de
I think it is not a problem the get the latest algorithm from the Pleasurize Music Foundation to support sound quality.
It would also avoid a lot of manual work if SSL could do the whole work.
Thanks a lot,
Robert

Tested and works great! Only the import from the log file into WAV ID3 tags is a big process. Serato please ...

This is all interesting, but I'm wondering what possible value that information would be to most DJ's?
Are you actually organizing sets/playlists according to the measured dynamic range and peak levels of the songs? Or is there some other use for the information while DJ-ing?

I (and all others) want to have one music library management software - which is preferable Serato - but currently I have to use 4 software modules (Serato, Mixed In Key, freedb2000 with DRM plugin, Tag & Rename) to store all the data in the tracks itself which I want.
Serato because it has a database and no re-read of the tracks need to be done. And the big feature with Smart Crates! :-)
I'm searching for the best masters from dance classics (70's - 90's) and these values helps to quickly find bad tracks (I have > 25.000 WAVs) and so I know which tracks I have to buy again on another CD, etc. - and as I said I want to store the information to know what I have in my collection and I only want to use ONE software in the near future: Serato - and that's why I ask to support it.
So if a dance classic DJ has e.g. "Gloria Gaynor - I will survive" with a DR5 (Dynamic Range) - it is highly recommended to find a better master (from a not remastered CD) with e.g. DR13.
However - the information is definitely much better then the track# or disc# of an album. ;-)
