just bought the 57 and was wondering a few things afther reading some of the post here
1. one of the clubs i dj at stage has a power snake u have to use to plug in and sometimes it gets unplug.... so i started using a usb powered hard drive with da serato box and when i lose power no problems serato dosent crash just looses power to turntables and mixer just power up keep going so if i lose power to the 57 will it crash serato or will i have to restart computer ?
2. i read in the fourms bout some 57sl loseing sound while djing in one pgm or both my questions is if this happen will i still get sound if i switch to an line that has a backup cd player or i pod

1. If you loose power to the 57 SSL won't crash but you will get the hardware disconnected screen.
2. I've not heard of a problem causing this, it's usually because someone has an effect inserted by accident.

.. and the music will cut out.
2. There were users reporting for example no sound at all due to the ribbon cable connecting to the crossfader getting loose. In such cases switch to line will make no difference. You may however still use the Aux-In as backup CD playing input.
